The Venice Boardwalk Zipline Ride Opens This Morning

New, 39 comments

As of 11 am this morning, there is a zipline ride on Venice Beach. Whoo! It's not a giant ferris wheel and it took a long-ass time and it's just up for a few months, but still, it's probably really fun! Flight and classes start today near Windward Circle; on Wednesday a bunch of local artists will be adding artwork to the zipline structures. Meanwhile, here's everything you need to know:

Hours: 11 am to Sunset
Ticketing office: across from the zipline landing deck just south of Windward on the Boardwalk (1601 Ocean Front Walk)
Cost: $18 for transit users and Californians, $20 for everyone else
Riders must weigh: 60 to 250 pounds
Valet: For bikes, skateboards, and rollerblades
Free shuttles: weekends and holidays only from Marina Del Rey's Lots 7, 8, and 9
