Spotless 1960s Post and Beam by the Silver Lake Reservoir

New, 58 comments

Generating lots of heat this week, as indicated by Redfin's "Most Popular" filter, is this 1961 post and beam on the west side of the Silver Lake Reservoir. Renovated in 2005 by the Brooklyn-based firm Standard Architects, the dazzlingly white, 1,680-square-foot house features, per the listing, three bedrooms, one and three-quarters baths, Brazilian walnut floors, built-in seating, a brick fireplace, custom cabinetry, Caesarstone counters, a rear patio finished with ipe decking, a "large garage wired for a home office," and of course the de rigeur walls of glass. No sign of a Noguchi coffee table, however. Sited on an 8,321-square-foot lot, it's listed at $1.099 million.
