The permanent LA satellite campus for Boston's Emerson College has topped its square, according to a release from the school that mentions an opening is only about six months away. The LEED-certified structure, designed by Thom Mayne and his crew at Morphosis, moved from embryonic shell to nearly fully-formed fetus in record time; it's only been a year and a half since work started. Some facilities will be operating by this winter and the entire campus--with groundfloor cafe, terrace, fitness center, lounge, classrooms, and screening and mixing rooms--will be functional in fall 2014.
