If you have ever thought to yourself, "Self, my life is so goddamn beautiful I should live in a goddamn museum," then this house in the Palisades might be for you. It "draws comparisons to the Getty Center in its construction" and the interiors "echo a museum ambiance" with their 26-foot ceilings and eight-foot-wide hallways. The estate was "conceived" by Richard Keating (who designed Beverly West and much else besides) and "brought to life" by Steve Giannetti, and has floor-to-ceiling windows, glass pocket doors, a water feature in the living room, and curved ceilings upstairs that are vaguely reminiscent of a cargo plane. Inside there are four bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, maid's room, gym, and a 10,000-bottle wine cellar plus tasting room, all in 14,645 square feet. Then there's a lanai, lap pool, and ponds outdoors. Pacific Palisades seems pretty hot these days, but what'll potential buyers make of the $19.8 million pricetag?
