Floor Area: 1,924 sq. ft.
Per the Listing: "Romeo Aristides Rodriguez, Architect. A highly expressive example of late 1940s modernism is sited on a corner lot and commands a strong street presence in an area of very traditional homes. Like much of the great postwar modernism, light and volume here are accentuated with multiple glass walls and pitched ceilings. A striking white granite fireplace anchors a living room that flows into dining area, kitchen, and full-length patio, perfect for indoor/outdoor entertaining. Period materials including redwood, combed plywood, and Formica firmly root this residence in the original era and a true feeling of being encapsulated in time is achieved. Included are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, office, and detached two-car garage; located in the burgeoning Faircrest Heights district of Los Angeles."
After appearing on Curbed in May 2012 and listed at $899k, this possibly lovely (with an abysmally small yard) MCM disappeared for over a year after going unsold. Now it's back on the market with a slight price chop. Ta-daaah! Sadly, it's still below the original 2007 sale price of $903k. Better luck this time, house.
