While George Montierth's work still remains largely unknown (Curbed featured one of his homes at 4200 California in Bixby Knolls in 2006), his work is starting to get its due appreciation in Long Beach. From a 2010 article in Long Beach Heritage, Montierth's architecture, along with several other local architects, is recognized as being threatened with demolition. Per the article, Montierth's office was in Long Beach, where he primarily focused on residential projects.
