See a Trip Down the LA River From a Kayaker's Point of View

New, 69 comments

For the first time since it was all concreted-up in the 1930s, the LA River is open for the summer for public recreation. For the most part that means kayaking. Eastsider LA shares this video shot by members of the LA Kayak Club as they paddled down the river during its opening days--hear the water babbling and the birds chirping, "navigate over rocky rapids, slip through thickets of greenery and scrape ? boats along the concrete banks" without ever looking away from your computer. Enjoy!
