Buff & Hensman's Halverson Residence #1 Re-Hits the Market

New, 23 comments

Longtime readers may recall this 1959 Buff & Hensman (and its jaunty Bob's Big Boy statue) from previous appearances on the site. The Cahuenga Pass post and beam, known as Halverson Residence #1, was first featured back in 2008, when it hit the market with a pricetag of $2.395 million, and again in 2009 when it was pricechopped and offered for lease. Evidently, the remodeled residence failed to find a buyer during those bleak days, but given the current overheated state of the LA market, perhaps it'll have better luck this time around. The 2,816-square-foot house features three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, recycled glass terrazzo floors, green wood, cork flooring, a rotating fireplace in the living room, walls of glass, a private deck, a jacuzzi, "awe-inspiring views from every room of the house," and parking for five cars. Sited on a 13,858-square-foot street-to-street lot, it's now asking $1.795 million.
