ConstructionWatching Arts District's One Santa Fe, Westwood's Crest Theater Flickers Back On

ARTS DISTRICT: Some projects move fast, others slow: mark the AD's One Santa Fe in the former category. A recent shot by SkyscraperPage poster Muji shows a development that's looking more real by the day, and this is just two months after we last checked in on the Michael Maltzan-designed mixed-user. One Santa Fe will encompass more than 500,000 square feet and include 438 apartments, 80,000 square feet of retail, a park, and a theater. [Curbed Staff]

WESTWOOD: Recent evidence pointed to the former Majestic Crest theater, a historic-cultural monument, finally reopening after being shuttered for years. It's indeed on its way--tonight at 7:30 pm it's screening Burn, a documentary on firefighters. It appears sold-out, but maybe you can talk your way in. [Curbed Staff]
