Palms Goes Celtic, Vegan on Sepulveda, Arclight Goes South

New, 6 comments

PALMS: That new mixed-user at Palms and Motor may not win any style awards, but it will house a new Celtic eatery on its bottom floor. The Wilde Thistle cafe will offer scones, crumpets, toasted cheese sandwiches, and other British fare when it opens August 1.

CULVER CITY: Not far from Palms, Sepulveda and Washington is becoming cool, according to Eater. Their evidence: a growing list of eateries, including the forthcoming Sage Vegan Organic Bistro and its vegan ice cream joint, KindKreme. Obviously healthy fare is on the menu, but so is booze and a swell outdoor patio. Opening hopefully before the summer is out.

HOLLYWOOD: Another late summer opening is expected with Roadside Eats, at the formerly down-on-its-luck retail spots attached to the Arclight on Sunset. The food is Southern and the concept comes from the owner of Culver City's popular Rush Street and City Tavern. A one-day pop-up of Roadside Eats opens at the Eagle Rock Brewery on July 5; look for complimentary pulled pork sandwiches, watermelon salad, Zapp's potato chips, sweet tea, and lemonade beginning at 4:30 pm.
