See Dramatic New Plans For the Redondo Beach Waterfront

New, 36 comments

After a months-long listening tour, developer CenterCal has released new renderings showing their grand plans for the $300 million Redondo Beach waterfront revitalization. The main features haven't changed much and still include a boutique hotel, fancy movie theater, a market hall with local shops and businesses, and office space. But, says Redondo Beach Patch, the new plans show "Seaside Lagoon restored to a more natural state; a revamped Redondo Beach Marina lined with a large boardwalk and many specialty stores; and an open, park-like area with a water feature." A tipster tells us that the Redondo Beach City Council is expected to vote at the end of July to begin the environmental impact report process.
