Per the Listing: "Situated in the hills of Kinneloa Mesa above the city of Pasadena sits this stunning midcentury modern home designed by noted architect, artist & illustrator, Frederick Monhoff. Noted for the homes and buildings he designed from Palm Springs to Napa Valley, Montecito to La Jolla, and Malibu to Silver Lake, this one time Altadena resident designed a home that allows light & its movement to flow seamlessly through the home. Featuring sleek lines, majestic views to the San Gabriel Mountains above, the canyon beside and the city lights below, this five bedroom, four bath home is a delight to all. Aficionados of contemporary midcentury modern architecture will appreciate this work of art which only a few fortunate families have been able to call home since it was originally built in 1948. Some of the noted features of the home include the pumice block walls, red clay tile floors, an abundance of storage, a large renovated loft style home office, a brand new TPO white reflective roof, two courtyards and an ease of Southern California living which flows seamlessly between the inside and outside for entertaining and dining alfresco..."

We scoured the new open house listings this week and the pickings were slim for quality products. But this property in Pasadena shows some promise. We're not loving all the furniture and paint choices, but the overall structure is pretty nice and that egg shaped bathtub is a keeper. Sadly, the home has already suffered it's first $50k price chop on June 20th. Tears will be shed.
