Michael LaFetra Flipping Jones & Emmons's Gorgeous Sherwood Residence For Twice the Price

New, 25 comments

Well hello, gorgeous. Nice to see you back again so soon. Just a little more than a year after prolific mid-century modern collector Michael LaFetra bought the Sherwood Residence in Beverly Hills, designed by the fantastic team of A. Quincy Jones and Frederick Emmons, he's flipping it back onto the market for about twice what he paid. To be fair, LaFetra knows what he's doing and has clearly given the 1962 house an upgrade--while it was looking pretty terrific a year ago, he appears to have done some much-needed work on the kitchen, bathrooms, and grounds (he also gave it some dignified staging unlike the last seller). The listing says "Master suite is now 2 stories with a spa bath & screening room or gym." In total the house has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms on .81 acres. LaFetra bought it in April 2012 for $6.625 million (beating out six other offers!) and has now listed it for $11.995 million.
