Photog Steven Meisel Asking $13 Million For Trousdale Modern

New, 25 comments

Fashion photographer Steven Meisel's gorgeous mid-century modern house in Trousdale Estates showed up in Architectural Digest last fall, so it was only a matter of time before it hit the market (took a while!). Here it is now asking $13 million. The house, which sits on more than one and a half acres, was built in 1963 and designed by George MacLean; Meisel hired mid-century restoration experts Marmol Radziner for a renovation, and Brad Dunning designed the interiors. The house comes with three bedrooms, five bathrooms (two in the master), two fireplaces, two offices (one of which has a shower in it), formal and informal dining rooms, an outdoor dining area with fireplace, a one-bedroom guesthouse, a pool, and a koi pond. Meisel says he fell in love with Trousdale after shooting the Versace fall/winter 2000 collection in a Hal Levitt-designed house now owned by Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. According to the Wall Street Journal, Meisel paid $2.75 million in 2001.
