Rick Caruso's development company, Caruso Affiliated, took home four Nuggies at the Gold Nugget Awards honoring excellence in construction and building design. Caruso's mixed-use 8500 Burton project won the "Grand Award" for Mixed Use and honors for Multi-Family Housing and Urban Infill Site Plan; the company also nabbed the Residential Project of the Year award. 8500, with its 87 luxury units and Trader Joe's in the bottom floor, opened in the fall near the Beverly Center.
