Mad Menning

Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner talks to PreservationNation about the way the show brings attention to architecture and design, whether Don Draper is a preservationist (duh), and his favorite location (the more or less ruined La Villa Basque in Vernon). As for his own preservation work: "When we first got married and I was an out-of-work screenwriter, we lived in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles and they were tearing down all of these beautiful Spanish duplexes. We were involved with trying to save those buildings right in our backyard." [PN, previously and previously]
