Roots on Abbot Kinney, New Fashion HQs at Alameda Square, Andy Dick Hosts Downtown Modernism

New, 5 comments

VENICE: Take a look inside Roots's airy storefront on Abbot Kinney. As a salute to the structure's original 1921 design, the renovation reused and repurposed various materials, like the lath taken from the original plaster walls and used to panel an area of the new interior.

DOWNTOWN Alameda Square's fashionable facelift continues with the opening of a joint Ella Moss and Splendid headquarters. The clothing companies' 82,000-square-foot space features exposed concrete floors, large industrial windows, and a roofdeck.

DOWNTOWN: Are you a fan of Andy Dick and mid-century modern decor? If so, head to Downtown Modernism's marketplace on June 30. It will be hosted by the eccentric comedian, who's apparently an avid interiors collector.
