The Downtown News reports that Holland Partners will break ground in 2014 on a new residential development just down the street from their recently-completed 1111 Wilshire. The whole thing was delayed by (what else?) both the recession and legal challenges, but things are moving now on the project, which will convert a 1927 medical building into 42 residential units, and build another 600 units on the site across the street from Good Samaritan Hospital. 2014 may still be a ways off, but it looks like Holland Partners have already started pulling permits. Crappy pedestrian access into Downtown doesn't appear to be holding the burgeoning City West neighborhood back.
