Reese Witherspoon, formerly America's sweetheart and now just, you know, "an American citizen," is compounding it up in gated Brentwood Circle, where Real Estalker reveals she recently added a third property to her estate. Witherspoon first bought a house in the neighborhood back in 2003 (when she was still married to Ryan Phillippe), paying $4.725 million for a "nearly 7,000 square foot mock-Med mini-mansion"; in 2009, after her divorce, she paid $3.325 million for a neighboring house, which she then demolished and converted to extra yard. Her latest purchase is a 1956 ranch that had been owned for four decades by actress/model/designer Elyse Knox (who died in early 2012). The house came with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, handpainted oak floors, a glass-enclosed breakfast room, a pool, brick terraces, and a "romantic stone and glass art studio/guest house," all on two-thirds of an acre. Witherspoon paid $3 million flat for the property in late December. She and agent husband Jim Toth had recently been looking for a $15 to $20 million property in Los Angeles, but it appears they might be settling in in Brentwood, where they've now laid out $11.05 million for 1.32 acres. Meanwhile, Witherspoon is still trying to sell her lovely Libbey Ranch in Ojai.
