Marijuana Dispensaries

New, 28 comments

The California Supreme Court decided today that cities can use zoning laws to prohibit marijuana dispensaries, allowing around 200 local bans to stay in effect: "The court said state law allowing the medical use of marijuana and establishment of collectives to grow pot 'merely declare that the conduct they describe cannot lead to arrest or conviction.'" The decision shouldn't have an effect on LA's three pot-shop-regulating ballot measures, which go before voters later this month. [SCPR]
