It's almost like Los Angeles isn't populated entirely by wealthy yoga yuppies: the city ranked twenty-ninth in a new index of the fittest cities in the US. "Residents in LA, Long Beach and Santa Ana smoke less and use public transportation more often than their counterparts in other major cities," but they have poorer mental health, more diabetes, and "fewer baseball diamonds, dog parks, playgrounds and golf courses per capita."
