John Williamson, who founded Topanga's Ayn Rand-inspired, nudity-and-free-love-harboring Sandstone Retreat in 1968, died recently. Hollywood stars and others "would gather on weekends to frolic in the nude, swap spouses and engage in group sex" at Sandstone, and Williamson became known as the "messiah of sex." At the end of his life, he was livin in Nevada, "taking in abandoned lions, tigers, cougars and other big cats." [AP, image via Gusta's Zone]
