When a unit at the Montage popped up as the second biggest LA-area home sale last week, some commenters questioned the judgment of anyone who would pay $10.7 million plus $5,366 in monthly HOA dues for a Beverly Hills condo. Well, the ever-fabulous Real Estalker sifted through the evidence and found that that decision was made by none other than Judge Judy Sheindlin and her husband Jerry. TV's crankiest judge bought the five-bedroom corner unit at the Montage, the ill-timed but super-swank development that for a while during the bust had only one resident. No pictures of the specific unit are available, but per RE's notes, the Sheindlins' new 4,680-square-foot home has "five bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, four exposures, seven small balconies and four dedicated parking spots in the underground garage." How much for the large balconies then?
