Whatever your politics, whatever your opinion of Los Angeles over the last eight years, you probably hate outgoing Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, because everyone does somehow. So bust out the pitchforks: the Board of Airport Commissioners is expected to vote tomorrow to name the new great hall at LAX's Tom Bradley International Terminal the Antonio R. Villaraigosa Pavilion, reports the Daily News. Though several gates have opened in the new terminal (designed by Fentress Architects), the rest of phase one, which includes the great hall, is way behind schedule. When it does open, the Villaraigosa Pavilion will be a blinky, Capitalisty playground filled with video screens, fancy lounges, and expensive shops and restaurants like Hermes and LAMILL (But how many trees will it have???). Most recently, the great hall was expected to open in July. Villaraigosa leaves office on June 30.
