Nutso W Hollywood Penthouse With Beauty Parlor and Ballroom Asking $45 Million

New, 82 comments

Brace now for the craziest fucking thing of all time: there is a 25,000-square-foot penthouse at the Residences at W Hollywood and it is asking $45 million. Whaaaaaat. The building has had trouble selling even its regular high-priced condos (units start around $800k) in the transitioning (but hot!) neighborhood, ever since it opened in 2010--it's been on the upswing lately, and about 60 percent of the units are now sold, but this is a whole new level. The fifteenth floor unit now hitting the market was designed by Richard Robertson III and has 340-degree views, four bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a ballroom that fits 250, a wine room and wine vault, a screening room, a solarium, a gallery, a fitness center with attached beauty parlor, a library, 17 valet spaces, a reception area with men's and women's powder rooms, and "a pub-style tap room," according to the Wall Street Journal. The master suite alone is 4,000 square feet and comes with a fireplace, foyer, "and oversize walk-in closet and dressing room designed to look like a Ralph Lauren store." It's also right on top of the Red Line! Whoever buys this trophy "can work with Mr. Robertson and interior designer Sue Firestone to customize the penthouse or bring in his or her own designer."
