Ousted UCLA Coach Ben Howland Getting Out of Bel Air Crest

New, 27 comments

In March, UCLA men's basketball coach Ben Howland was fired after 10 mostly impressive years and now he's getting out of town, or moving to Exposition Park, or downsizing, or something. Whatever it is, he's ditching the Bel Air Crest house he's owned since he was first at UCLA in 2003, according to Redfin (which says it was not an arm's length transaction--the seller appears to have been a late philanthropist and coaching advocate). The house comes with five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, marble and wood floors, a theater, an elevator, a pool and spa, and a patio with barbecue. Asking price is $1.89995 million with Bel Air Crest HOA dues of $733 per month.
