Here's The Rockwell at Sunset and PCH, Starting in the $900ks

New, 12 comments

It's been a very long time coming, but the building at Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway often called "the bunker" is finally ready to go--sales start this month. The project now known as The Rockwell was held up for years in tragedy, code violations, and foreclosure, but was taken over in 2011 by 9Mile Investments, which has made it over with 16 very fancy units. That includes ten single-levels and six two-level penthouses, ranging from one to three bedrooms and from 1,200 to 3,600 square feet (with up to 1,400 square feet of terrace--some even have outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and showers). They also come with skylights, fireplaces, exposed concrete walls, and white oak floors, plus building access with biometric identification, keyed elevators (some private), storage units, bike parking, and two levels of underground parking. Prices start in the $900,000s and head on up to $4 million. There are also three groundfloor retail units--right now they house a Studio K gym and the Fiore Gardens floral shop.
