It takes a lot to make the Downtown office space market intriguing, but this ain't bad: two of the largest property-holders are joining forces as Brookfield Office Properties acquires MPG Office Trust. They'll form something called DTLA Holdings, which will end up controlling both companies' Downtown buildings, including Bank of America Plaza, the Ernst & Young Tower, and the Wells Fargo Tower. It'll also be buying Brookfield's newly-renovated FIG@7th and "a strategically located development site." [Yahoo! Finance]
