In an unfortunate turn of events, two Armenian community groups in Pasadena are at loggerheads over how to commemorate upcoming anniversaries of the Armenian genocide. Not only have rival ceremonies been planned for this year's commemoration, but competing memorials are in the works to be unveiled in Memorial Park at next year's one-hundredth anniversary: "Both groups have been in contact with the city about their ideas for a privately funded monument, and both say they are finalizing their designs."
