LOS ANGELES: Whoo! This Sunday is the first ever CicLAvia to the Sea--about 15 miles of city streets, running from Downtown to the beach, will be closed to cars and opened to bikers, walkers, skaters, players, people. It'll run from 10 am to 3 pm. To kick things off, Mayor Villaraigosa will announce Car Free LA, a new tourism program "featuring a series of self-guided, car-free vacation itineraries that offer visitors a new way to experience LA's diverse neighborhoods via foot, bike, and Metro." Yes, that's right, stop laughing, everyone else, this isn't twentieth century LA anymore. [Curbed Inbox]

SILVER LAKE: If you prefer your running/walking to come with a side of modern architecture, the Neutra Institute is holding its third annual run/walk on Sunday. There's a 4k and an 8k, plus house tours of the Richard Neutra-designed Neutra VDL Research House and receptions at the house. All the info's here. [Curbed Inbox]
