Yesterday's vote on the future of a Redondo Beach power plant is still too close to call but it's not looking good for the people who want the place gone. "Measure A was intended to rezone the 50-acre power plant site and phase out the generation and transmission of electricity by 2020" and would convert the site to open space, commercial, and light industrial uses. As of now, it looks like it was defeated, but "with just 383 votes separating the yes and no votes and 1,600 late and provisional ballots still outstanding, the tally could shift." [Daily Breeze]
