This Rodney Walker-designed mid-century modern at the tippy-top of Bel-Air has been unsuccessfully trotted out to market a couple of times since it was last purchased in 2006. One of a handful of houses in the vicinity built by the Case Study House designer, it was previously featured here back in 2009, when the two-bedroom, one-and-three-quarters bath, remodeled residence was listed with an audacious $1.595 million pricetag. Four years later, despite having collected a couple of Oscars--see photo number three--the sellers still haven't learned the value of using a professional photographer and/or stager; in fact, the latest set of pix might even be worse than the older ones. But no matter--given the current overheated state of the market and the intervening increase in Walker's name recognition, it seems a lot likelier that this time around will be the charm. The new asking price for the 1,470-square-foot house is $1.45 million.
