Curbed University Guide to Buying & Renting is Back in Session

New, 17 comments

After a semester or two off, Curbed University, our insider guide to buying, selling, and renting houses and apartments in LA, is back in session. (Our other city sites are in on the action, too.) Starting this week and continuing on through May, we'll be posting regular updates to our Curbed University content of the past, new posts on as-yet-unexplored aspects of the real estate world, and open threads with industry experts who'll answer your questions.

Which brings us to our next point: your questions. We are taking suggestions for topics you'd like us to cover in this upcoming semester of Curbed University. Kindly leave them in the comments or send them into the tipline. To get you started, we've put together an index of everything Curbed U has covered in the past:

-- Intro to Renting: Rent Control, Fees, and Deposits
-- Tricks the Pros Use to Find Great Rentals

-- Finding a Real Estate Agent You Can Work With
-- What You Need to Get Pre-Approved For a Homebuying Loan
-- Know Your Sales: Standard, Short, Foreclosure, Probate
-- What You Need to Know About Getting a Mortgage
-- Friday Open Thread: Ask All Your Homebuying Questions Here

Renting vs Buying
-- Reasons You Might Want to Keep Renting For Now
-- 5 Possible Financial Incentives For Buying a Home
