LA City Council President Herb Wesson isn't giving up on the developer AEG's Downtown NFL stadium plan (which comes with plans to modernize the Convention Center). Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and City Councilmember Jan Perry want to figure out alternative Convention Center plans, with or without football, but not Wesson, who's now floating "the possibility of extending a city deadline of 2014 to have a deal with the NFL and for allowing the Convention Center expansion."
