Yesterday marked the 27th anniversary of the release of the Tom Hanks '80s classic The Money Pit. Though centered on a lemon of a country estate that begins to fall apart as soon as Hanks' parts with his cash, the film was actually shot at some of New Yorks finest apartment houses, a Gilded Age estate on Long Island, and South Florida's epic Villa Vizcaya.
