Another little piece of the Santa Monica Mountains has been saved from development threats--last week the LA County Board of Supes approved the money to buy "525 acres at the southern base of iconic Ladyface Mountain in Cornell near Agoura Hills, as well as 86 acres in Escondido Canyon near Malibu." The former could have been subdivided and developed; the latter was almost turned into a New Age yurt retreat in the '90s. [LADN]
