Northridge homeowners are horrified at the idea that they might get a big pack of senior citizens--more than 825 have signed a petition opposing a 83,000-square-foot, partly-three-story elder-care facility slated for the Sherwood Forest neighborhood. And they're not the only ones, ever since the city made it easier to open elder-care facilities. [LAT]
