Mendocino Farms Opens in Sherman Oaks, a.o.c. Moves West, Best Places to Get Bombed in LA

New, 8 comments

SHERMAN OAKS: The Valley of the '80s bumps up to the Valley of the now: Mendocino Farms is opening in a mixed-use building at Ventura and Hazeltine, right next to a Taco Bell. The 3,000-square-foot sandwich purveyor will have a tree in the middle of the restaurant, like in the WeHo branch.

BEVERLY GROVE: a.o.c. has been serving the city's beautiful people since 2002. The restaurant moved west yesterday to a new location near Beverly Hills's edge (the former Il Covo space). The exterior is a tasteful white and there's a garden on the patio, with edible plants and herbs that are used in the food.

LOS ANGELES: Eater's latest list is of the best drinking spots in the city. Spread from Marina del Rey to South Pasadena, the list includes favorites like Bar Covell, The Perch, and Son of a Gun.
