Santa Monica passed an ordinance last year allowing cars from car-sharing services to park on city streets, so it's only natural that they're looking to get some shared cars on the road now. "A team of city officials will be conducting interviews with four car-sharing companies on March 1, with the hope of selecting a service by summertime." One of the unnamed companies (which may or may not include Zipcar, pictured) could be putting shared cars on the streets of Santa Monica as early as late summer. [SMDP]
