Ronald Reagan's General Electric House Sells Above Asking

New, 27 comments

The Gipper still has his magic touch--Ronald and Nancy Reagan's old house in Pacific Palisades, built as a General Electric Showcase house in 1956, just hit the market in December (for the first time since 1988) and has already sold above its asking price. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom house was designed by William R. Stephenson and used "energy-saving devices to control temperature, heat, and light--both inside and out," according to the Palisadian-Post. The Reagans owned the house from 1957 until 1981. It was listed asking $4.999 million and just sold today for $5.211 million, according to Redfin.
