Neighbors campaigning to protect a group of three Craftsman houses on Palm Avenue in West Hollywood have won at least a temporary victory. Owner David Vayner wants to demolish the houses and put up a 24-unit apartment building in their place, but the neighbors "presented the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) with sufficient evidence to fend off what the activists claimed was 'misinformation' given the commission by [West Hollywood] staff." The HPC will discuss the matter again later this month. [WeHo News]
