Ozzie and Harriet/Ari Gold House Hits the Market in the Hills

New, 18 comments

Though some may recognize this Hollywood Hills residence as Ari Gold's house in Entourage, it's much better known for being the real-life and television home of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson. (The Colonial Revival, designed in 1916 by architects Frank Kegley and H. Scott Gerity, is also said to be haunted by Ozzie's ghost--hope he's not mad about the Entourage thing.) Located south of Runyon Canyon near Wattles Mansion and the former homes of Orson Welles, Samuel Goldwyn, and Al Jolson, the 5,283-square-foot house features, per the listing, five bedrooms, four baths, "a wood-paneled screening room, a garage that has been converted to production offices, a gym, 3 fireplaces, numerous outdoor entertaining areas, parking for multiple cars & a bright sunny pool." Sited on a half-acre lot, the gated property last traded hands in 2005 for $2.5 million. It was briefly listed at $4.995 million in late 2010 (the delightful Paradise Leased devoted a post to it at that time) and returns today with a reduced asking price of $4.2 million.
