The Vermont Reaches for Ktown Sky, Never Built Fete at Disney's House

KOREATOWN: There are a ton of cranes in LA right now, but Ktown's Wilshire/Vermont mixed-use twin tower, called The Vermont seems to be one of the fastest-rising towers around. SkyscraperPage commenter Muji snapped these pics and notes that the project is adding one floor about every week (the finished product will have towers of 22 and 28 stories). Work only started nine months ago, and the units and retail will open next year. [Curbed Staff]

JOSHUA TREE: Sam Lubell and Greg Goldin are working hard to create the Never Built: Los Angeles exhibit for the A+D Museum--the awesome-looking show will explore the grandiose architecture and transit ideas that were proposed for LA but never built (it will include a seven-foot-tall LEGO tower!). They have a Kickstarter page with fundraising closing on Valentine's Day, as well as a fundraiser/cocktail party on Saturday at the gorge Joshua Tree home of filmmaker Tim Disney (nephew of Walt). Click here for info on the event, which happens at the start of Palm Springs Modernism Week. [Curbed Staff]
