Condos And Hotel Headed For Wilshire/Linden Site In Bev Hills?

New, 2 comments

"[O]ne of the largest redevelopment sites in Beverly Hills" just went up for sale in what the marketers are calling the Golden Triangle, that section of Beverly Hills along Wilshire where you find high-end retailers Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue (never to be confused, obviously, with the even-more-affluent Platinum Triangle of hyper-rich Holmby Hills, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills). And the sellers of the 63,691-square-foot property, which currently hosts a medical plaza, a parking lot, and apartments, think it can become something a lot grander. Like what, you ask? Like condos! In a press release, the real estate agents say they think someone could use the space to build "a luxury hotel fronting Wilshire Boulevard and high-end condominiums fronting the tree-lined, residential Linden Street." The fact that the site is not currently zoned for those big dreams is not deterring anyone one bit. There's no price listed for the property, but considering it's such a huge plot in a desirable location, one agent says in the release that they are expecting that it will "command exceptional pricing on a square foot basis for Beverly Hills."
