LONG BEACH: Now, here's a good excuse to brave the 110 or the Blue Line: a new cow palace called Chianina Steakhouse. The venture from chef David Coleman, which raises its own Chianina cows and bulls for patron consumption, opens for business on December 27.
LARCHMONT: If you know one of those long-time Angelenos with an attachment to Hamburger Hamlet, sit them down before you tell them that Hamburger Hamlet XP in Larchmont Village shuttered on Monday. The smaller-version Hamlet never drummed up lots of business in its year and a half of life.
ALL OVER: The assumption is that most of the people eating out on Christmas are Jews chowing down in Chinatown, but there are also plenty of Christians too lazy to prepare a big meal. Eater compiled 14 of the best restaurants for Christmas dinner and not one involves wonton soup.
