The Paris Review published a thoroughly descriptive account of one man's Expo Line ride from Culver City to USC today. All the regular transit characters make an appearance: a crazy lady, a person who is vocally angry, college students, a guy who tries to sell you a home theater system on the street even though you are clearly riding public transit and wouldn't have any place to put all that. The rider is a transplant from Beirut, so he's not easily shocked. [Paris Review]
