The tarp is up at the old Trader Joe's stripmall on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, but we're not quite there with a groundbreaking for the forever-in-the-pipeline Movietown Plaza mixed-user. WeHoville got its hands on the latest renderings for the sizable development, which has changed sizes and appearances several times (see here and here) and now includes 370 apartments and 32,000 square feet of retail space for a new grocery store. The designs from Irvine-based MVE & Partners will be reviewed by the Planning Commission tonight. Construction was supposed to start this year, but now they're looking at first quarter 2014.
