West Hollywood is moving full-steam ahead with never-ending continuing plans to improve West Hollywood Park (the one near The Abbey on San Vicente). Three architects--Frederick Fisher and Partners, LPA, and Langdon Wilson--presented their designs for Phase II of the West Hollywood Park Master Plan on Monday, which will add a new public pool and more green space by demolishing the existing auditorium and moving all the offices there to a consolidated building at the south end of the park. The proposals, which all look pretty cool, will soon be winnowed down to one by city officials. Phase I of the park plan added two new basketball courts and brought more green space by removing surface parking, building a mural-festooned garage, and placing tennis courts on top of the garage.
