Maybe you've walked down North Grand Avenue to check out Buck Rogers High for LA's artsy kids. After passing architectural monuments like the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, you reach the school, admire the futuristic facade, and then your eyes settle on the stand-alone Burger King across the street (maybe you get a Whopper, maybe you don't). Well, that culinary treasure may be headed to fast food heaven, as a seven-story mixed-user (yes, another one) has been proposed for the spot, with 225 units and 8,000 square feet of retail space, Building Los Angeles reports. (During the aughts, a 31-story tower was proposed for the site at Cesar Chavez and Grand, but that's dead.) This new project is still early in the approvals pipeline, but you may want to get your 500-calorie sandwiches while you can.
