Mapping The Geographic Delusion Of Craigslist Rental Listings

New, 7 comments

Hey oldsters (people over 24), remember the dark days before Craigslist listings had a mapping option? Everyone was always accidentally renting apartments in Van Nuys when they meant to be in Silver Lake, because landlords are devious bastards who like to throw a phrase like "close to the beach" into a San Gabriel Valley listing or "just a two-hour rush-hour drive to Los Feliz" into a Long Beach listing to thwart all your carefully-worded search efforts. Well now Craigslist has maps and landlords are busted--here are maps of popular search terms like "Venice Beach" and "Beverly Hills" showing just how wrong Craigslist rental ads are.
